About the Role
Collaborate with product development teams to create innovative and
functional furniture designs, considering ergonomics, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Develop and refine design concepts using 2D and 3D modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Rhino) to create detailed drawings and presentations.
Conduct research on market trends, customer preferences, and competitor products to inform design decisions and ensure designs are marketable and competitive.
Coordinate with engineers and production teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.
Review and provide feedback on prototypes, identifying areas for improvement and recommending design modifications.
Participate in design reviews, offering constructive feedback to other team members and incorporating feedback into your own work.
Ensure designs adhere to relevant industry regulations, guidelines, and sustainability practices.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in furniture design or a related field. Proficient in 2D and 3D design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar). Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and ergonomic principles. Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to balance creativity with practicality. Portfolio showcasing innovative and high-quality furniture designs.
